A Clinton tradition since 1953

On Valentine’s Day 1953, John and Laura Alteri opened the doors to a family restaurant located on College Street in Clinton, New York. Thereafter it was known as Alteri’s Restaurant. It continued as a family business until John’s death in 1960. His son and daughter-in-law, Fernando “Feet” and Beverly, continued the family tradition up until 1998. Early morning, June 27, 1963 fire destroyed the restaurant, but not the spirit of it’s owner. The restaurant was rebuilt and expanded to what it is today. The family atmosphere of three generations is currently being carried on by Francis Alteri. We look forward to serving you.
